As you are planning your destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico, it is important to think about where you want to have your rehearsal dinner, too! If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant for your wedding guests, Los Tres Gallos is the perfect place to bring your family and friends! Whether you are staying in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo, or at a resort between the two cities, Los Tres Gallos has two locations for you to choose from. Both of their restaurants offer an amazing experience for wedding rehearsal dinners in Mexico. Everything from the ambiance to the cocktails, food, and service will be extremely memorable for your destination wedding week festivities. A major benefit of having your rehearsal dinner at Los Tres Gallos is that you can rent out the entire space to have an intimate private event the evening before you say “I do”!
A benefit of working with a wedding planning company is that we get to experience firsthand what your rehearsal dinner would be like and we can provide you with the best recommendations to plan your event. Paola Vega, Group Sales Manager, recently hosted us & the Look At Me Brides team at their newest location in San Jose del Cabo and the service was amazing, just like at their original Cabo San Lucas location! Both restaurants have fully outdoor seating and are beautifully decorated with papel picado and string lights. They are known for their open kitchen display and large tree that grows within the restaurant, too!
As you are picturing your rehearsal dinner at Los Tres Gallos, you and your guests will be greeted with a welcome cocktail. Since we are in Mexico, margaritas as welcome cocktails are a must, right?! We recommend the Jalapeño Margaritas served in Clase Azul glasses, as well as the Tamarindo & Tequila Margarita and the Jamaica & Mezcal Margarita.
For the Rich & Kitch x Look At Me Brides wedding rehearsal dinner tasting menu, Los Tres Gallos paired each course with wines throughout Mexico. If you and your wedding guests are wine drinkers, having a plated dinner with wine pairings makes for a fun evening of celebrating! As a sample of what your rehearsal dinner could be like at Los Tres Gallos, we’ll discuss the amazing preparation they presented to us.
To start dinner, traditional appetizers included freshly made salsas, guacamole, queso fundido, and a variety of totopos. As you plan your rehearsal dinner, you can customize the menu based on your preferences!
The next course was traditional Mexican tortilla soup paired with a delicious rosé from Valle de Guadalupe in Northern Baja California Mexico. Tortilla soup is a must when in Mexico and the presentation of tortilla soup will wow you and your guests. The pairing with rosé wine was a nice touch, too!
The third course was Chile Relleno paired with a Mexican chardonnay. Chile Relleno is a classic Mexican dish made of a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and served in a savory tomato sauce. We highly recommend this dish for your guests!
The fourth course was a shrimp taco paired with a Mexican chardonnay as well. The shrimp tacos were amazing and Los Tres Gallos is known for their variety of tacos! Cabo is also known for their fresh seafood so this is the perfect combination for a taco to offer to your wedding guests.
The fifth course was a Mexican steak called Arrachera, which is marinated, grilled flank steak, and it was paired with Mexican red wine. As you can tell, the Los Tres Gallos team are the experts in authentic Mexican cuisine!
The menu wouldn’t be complete without desserts, of course! Tres leches cake (traditional and chocolate) as well as churros are amazing options for your wedding rehearsal dinner.
Last but not least, the evening wouldn’t be complete without traditional Mexican coffee, or a Carajillo as a nightcap cocktail. Having a Mexican dining experience during your destination wedding week in Cabo is definitely a must, which is why we love to recommend Los Tres Gallos to engaged couples for their rehearsal dinner!
While this dining experience is an amazing option for your wedding rehearsal dinner, if you are not into food and wine pairings, Los Tres Gallos can offer different options for a plated dinner. They can also offer a buffet style taco bar which is a fun idea for your rehearsal dinner, too! And to round out the entire authentic Mexican restaurant experience, Los Tres Gallos offers an amazing mariachi band, which makes for great entertainment for your destination wedding guests!
Lastly, a benefit of renting out the entire, or even a partial area of Los Tres Gallos, is that you can have an intimate celebration with your wedding party or all of your destination wedding guests. It is common for family and friends to give speeches during the rehearsal dinner, so having a secluded space in an authentic Mexican restaurant can make these moments even more memorable.
If authentic Mexican cuisine is not your preference, Look At Me Brides works with many other established restaurants in Los Cabos. If you come to Los Cabos before your wedding, you can experience a food tasting like this at the restaurant of your choice. And if you are not able to come to Los Cabos to choose your rehearsal dinner restaurant, Look At Me Brides is happy to provide details like this on the experience for you, so you and your significant other can make the best choice for your family and friends. If you are looking for a full service wedding planner in Cabo, the Look At Me Brides team would be honored to help you plan your rehearsal dinner and wedding!
