Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal (formerly known as the Resort at Pedregal) is the most luxurious destination wedding & honeymoon resort Pedregal & Cabo’s Pacific Coast has to offer. Located on the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, this five-star Waldorf embodies luxury through their pristine beaches, beachfront suites, curated journeys, natural spa & culinary bliss. It’s a five-star, five-diamond resort that often gets voted the best in Mexico by Travel & Leisure year after year. The resort is extremely unique, as you must drive through its privately-owned tunnel to arrive at the resort that is built into the cliffs. We’ll start with the Rich & Kitch favorite which is El Farallon. It is arguably the most romantic restaurant in Cabo & it’s extremely special to us because we got engaged at El Farallon! Getting to El Farallon is an experience in itself since you get to walk through the beautiful resort. Once you arrive at El Farallon, you enter the champagne terrace, which is where your wedding cocktail hour would be held.
The restaurant itself is carved into the mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean & the ambiance is truly spectacular. El Farallon has plenty of seating for a large wedding reception & a stage for live music. As you continue walking through the restaurant, there is another area for dancing the night away with a built-in bar, too! The flow of your entire wedding is very important & El Farallon is laid out perfectly. Since this restaurant is so beautiful on its own, you don’t need a lot of additional decor which is nice to really embrace this unique wedding venue location.
Besides being an extremely beautiful wedding venue option at Waldorf Astoria Pedregal, it also offers some unique benefits compared to other options at the resort. For example, El Farallon is extremely secluded, and because of this, you can have your wedding reception until 1:00 am (which is one of the latest curfews we’ve ever heard of)!
If El Farallon is your ideal option for your destination wedding, it is one of the more expensive options (~$35k minimum). Also, the resort cannot host more than one wedding a weekend at this specific location since it is a world-renowned restaurant. With that being said, you will need to book this venue very far in advance!

Even if you don’t get married at El Farallon, having dinner at the restaurant while you are on your honeymoon is a must. The entire dining experience is an evening to remember from the impeccable service, food, & cocktails, to the breathtaking views. Make sure you save this Instagram post & make a reservation at El Farallon (months in advance) with your significant other during your next trip to Cabo! Lastly, depending on the season, you can book an amazing experience at the restaurant called Farallon by the Sea which is pictured below!
The lobby at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is our favorite location for the wedding ceremony itself. It allows the bride to make a dramatic entrance into the wedding & the ocean view backdrop during the ceremony is breathtaking. After the ceremony, the couple can take photos in the exclusive Pedregal tunnel which is extremely unique!
Also located in the lobby is the Agave Studio. This area is the perfect place for your wedding cocktail hour after your wedding ceremony in the lobby. The Agave Studio is a great place for a wedding welcome party with tequila & mezcal tastings, too! Who wouldn’t love an authentic experience like this during a destination wedding week?!
If you are the type of couple that wants a beach wedding, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has that option for you, too. Pedregal’s beach is huge, so you can have your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception on the beach (depending on the season) if you choose! The beach is also a great area to host a wedding welcome event like a beach bonfire. Using the beach as your wedding venue is not the most private of options, so this is something to keep in mind while you are choosing between all of Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal’s amazing wedding venue options.
La Palapa, the Pool Terrace, & the Beach Club are beautiful venue options that are perfect for smaller weddings. These venues are located right next to each other, so we wanted to group them into one section since it’s common for couples to mix & match these areas on their wedding day. For example, you can have your wedding ceremony on the Pool Terrace which is a beautiful option since the resort can cover the hot tub so it looks like you are getting married while floating on top of the pool!! Then, you can move over to La Palapa for cocktail hour, followed by an intimate wedding reception dinner at the Beach Club.
The wedding reception curfew for outdoor areas is 10:00pm, but if you close the doors to the Beach Club restaurant, you can party with your friends & family until 11:00pm!
Don Manuel’s is an amazing option for a large wedding reception. The restaurant has indoor & outdoor seating, all with beautiful ocean views. Don Manuel’s offers Mexican cuisine & the food is extremely delicious. Having your wedding reception at this location is truly a great option!!

The Rooftop: a small space, but a private location that would be perfect for an engagement proposal or romantic honeymoon dinner.

THE ROOMS
As you enter any room at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, you’ll find a complimentary & custom bottle of Clase Azul Tequila (which is literally the best tequila ever). Also, every single room at the resort has a private plunge pool; talk about luxury, right?! Additional room benefits include daily mini-bar refreshments, in-room coffee service, & a complimentary delivery of chips, salsa, guacamole, & cervezas every afternoon.
The standard resort rooms are nothing short of amazing, so you can be sure your wedding guests will be pleased if this is the room option they select. The rooms have a king-sized bed, beautiful bathroom, & spacious balcony to relax on in-between dips in your plunge pool.
Another type of room that is amazing for the wedding couple is the beachfront suite. There aren’t many of this type of room on the property, but they are super secluded & romantic as you can see in our photos below.
The last type of room we were able to tour is the 3-bedroom villa which is the perfect type of room to use as the bridal suite on the wedding day. There is so much room for the bride & bridal party to get ready, have lunch, & take beautiful photos with your “I do” crew! And if you need an extra bedroom, there is an option to make these villas into 4-bedroom villas.

THE RESORT
The service you receive at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is literally incredible & it’s easy to see why. The resort is huge, but only has 115 rooms with 500 staff members catering to every detail, which provides an ultra-luxury experience. Whether you are hosting your destination wedding here or staying for your honeymoon, each guest has a dedicated personal concierge to ask questions whenever they have them. Guests also have the option to upgrade to a private butler service, which is a great option when staying in a villa (& to have extra help on your wedding day)!
During your stay at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, there are multiple pools (for adults & kids), as well as an amazing swim-up bar & seasonal swinging champagne bar on the beach. There is plenty of comfortable lounge seating by the pool for an ideal day of soaking up the Cabo sun. Since the resort is located on the Pacific Ocean side of Cabo, the water can get extremely rough, so the beach is not swimmable here. You are able to layout on the beach though if you enjoy being on the sand!
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has a huge gym, as well as one of the world’s best spas. Their spa offers a unique experience that correlates with the phases of the moon, & the pool to relax in before or after spa services is amazing, too!
If you’re not convinced yet, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is by far one of the nicest resorts in Mexico. Rich & Kitch also love the location of Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal since it’s located extremely close to downtown Cabo San Lucas. While this resort is amazing & you don’t necessarily need to leave it, downtown Cabo does have many amazing things to offer, so we recommend taking time to explore Cabo during your destination wedding week & honeymoon!
WEDDING REQUIREMENTS
To have your wedding at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, wedding room blocks require you & your wedding guests to book a total of 15 rooms for at least 3 nights each if you are having your wedding on a weekend. If you are having a weekday wedding, the requirement is a room block of 10 rooms for at least 3 nights. A bonus for you & your guests is that breakfast is included for free daily at Don Manuel’s & this restaurant is known for its amazing brunch! Last but not least, an added bonus for the wedding couple is that you can get discounts on additional wedding events you host at the resort, too!
