As we reflected on our wedding planning process, we realized how much we loved getting hitched, so we're here to share our Cabo San Lucas destination wedding inspiration with you. Getting married in Cabo truly inspired us to share the details of our special day & helpful tips we realized along the way, so if this sounds like what you need, you're in the right place!
Our destination wedding day (& a weekend full of events leading up to it) in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was a dream come true! We decided to get married in Cabo since Richie & I have a lot of history of traveling there. My family owns a timeshare at Villa del Arco, so we’ve been vacationing there ever since we started dating.
Richie also proposed to me in Cabo (you can read about the proposal here) so it is a very special place to us. Since we love Los Cabos, Mexico, so much, we knew it was the perfect place for our destination wedding! We also wanted to share our favorite destination with our family & friends, so we planned many fun events leading up to the big day, so more to come in future blog posts!
We’ll start by sharing some of our favorite photos from our wedding day & all of the beautiful images are from the amazingly talented Anna Gomes. The theme we were going for was simple & elegant, with a twist of Cabo vibes.
We also had an amazing team of videographers! Our Love Story movie by Land's End Films captures our wedding week perfectly.
If you looked through our amazing pictures and/or watched our wedding video, & you are considering a destination wedding, DO IT! We loved being able to spread out our celebrations over a few days & spend more time with our friends & family. A main thing to consider before deciding on a destination wedding is to make sure that your family & friends can afford to come (think about hotel costs, flight costs, how much time your guests will need to take off of work, etc.). We had a smaller wedding than expected but we wouldn’t change a thing!
