Have you had mezcal before?! I can’t say I’m a huge fan of smoky cocktails, but when I was offered to taste “The Cape” mezcal cocktail at The Cape Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico during a wedding planning tour, I was officially hooked. In true Rich & Kitch fashion, we created our own twist on this delicious mezcalita & made up a recipe using fresh ingredients & Casamigos Mezcal! We can't wait to share it with you here!
For me, the key to a good mezcal is one that isn’t too smokey. Like, I don’t want that smokey flavor lingering in my mouth lol. So, if you’ve tried mezcal before & didn’t like it, we highly encourage you to try another brand! Our current favorite is Casamigos Mezcal, but there are SO many other amazing mezcals out there! If you wondering how mezcal differs from tequila, check out this food & wine article that provides a great explanation.
As we mentioned, this recipe is Rich & Kitch’s twist on “The Cape” mezcal cocktail from The Cape Hotel in Los Cabos, Mexico. So if you order their drink when you’re visiting The Cape on your next trip to Cabo, it will look completely different from our version. Read more about why The Cape is a Rich & Kitch favorite resort in Los Cabos, Mexico here! However, we will say the Rich & Kitch version is delicious as well, so now it’s time to share our Fresh Mezcalita Casamigos Mezcal Cocktail Recipe!
