Everything about the property is beautiful & they have a lot of different offerings for your destination wedding. A favorite among many couples is getting married in their beautiful Mexican chapel. They have other beautiful lawn/courtyard options, as well as the beach & pool terraces, so you have many options to choose from as seen here! This is a great resort for a honeymoon, too. **JUST FOR FUN BONUS RECOMMENDATION: PESCADITO BREAK**
Right down the street from the Cabo Surf Hotel is a hidden gem of a restaurant called Pescadito Break! It has the best beach vibes & impressive décor. The food & drinks are affordable & delicious, too. Pescadito Break is a favorite among locals in Los Cabos! Dining in the open-air restaurant lets you watch surfers as they’re catching waves on Costa Azul beach. On the weekends, they even have sunset sessions with live DJs! If you are staying in San José del Cabo, make sure you check out Pescadito Break - it would be a fun spot for a wedding welcome event, too!
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is a nice all-inclusive resort in San José del Cabo. They even have swim-up rooms! For weddings, their oceanfront gazebo is a beautiful & popular spot for wedding ceremonies. Hotel El Ganzo is definitely one of our favorites for a destination wedding in San José del Cabo, Mexico.
We are obsessed with one of their main wedding ceremony locations - on the strip of lawn in between the water as seen in the photos below. When getting married at Hotel El Ganzo, you can take some of your wedding day photos on a boat which is so fun! A wedding reception can be held on their rooftop, which has beautiful views, as well as a unique infinity pool.

Even if you don’t get married here, honeymooning at this boutique hotel would be amazing! Their rooftop & beach club would be great to spend your days relaxing as newlyweds. Also a fun fact about Hotel El Ganzo is that they have an underground recording studio that attracts artists from all over the world. The JW Marriott Los Cabos is an amazing resort for a destination wedding. The entire property is beautiful & very zen. It really makes you feel calm from the moment you step into the lobby. This is the vibe they are going for here & they totally achieve it!
This is an affordable, yet luxurious, resort making it a great destination wedding option for you & your wedding guests if you are more budget-conscious. While this is not a traditional all-inclusive resort, because they don’t have entertainment dinner shows at night, they are able to offer meal packages if that is something your wedding group is looking for. We love this resort because while it is a large property, it also offers a lot of private options for a destination wedding as seen in this video.
One of our favorite locations for a wedding ceremony & reception is the Amnet Patio. It offers you a blank slate to customize your dream wedding with a beautiful backdrop of the Sea of Cortez as you can see in the photos below!
If you want to extend your wedding past the JW’s curfew of 10pm, you can move into their ballroom right behind the Amnet Patio for an additional fee.
Another location we love for weddings at the JW Marriott Los Cabos is the Kepe Gazebo. We especially love this space for cocktail hours - the built-in fire pits are such a nice touch! Also, the views from the Kepe Gazebo do not disappoint as you can see in the photos below. You can also have your wedding ceremony & reception in this location, but please keep in mind that it will be hot if it’s sunny like it usually is in Cabo!
The Nak Grill area, located by one of the pools as seen in the photos below, is another great option for a wedding welcome pool party, cocktail hour, or wedding reception.
One of the main restaurants on the property, Café des Artistes, can be used for wedding receptions as well, but we think this makes a great option for a rehearsal dinner if you want to remain on the property.

The JW Marriott Los Cabos also has a very unique option for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, & receptions called the Amphitheater as seen below. This resort really has options for everyone’s wedding style!
Depending on the tide in the Sea of Cortez, you can also get married on the beach, but we don’t recommend beach weddings at the JW Los Cabos, since their other venue options are more luxurious. Also, their beach area is not swimmable, so it isn’t the nicest beach you will see in Los Cabos. This is the only downside about this property, but the JW Marriott makes up for it with all of their amazing pools!
When getting married at the JW, the resort charges a wedding setup fee & has a minimum consumption price for food & beverages. During our last wedding at the JW Los Cabos, we were SO impressed by the cocktail hour appetizers, wedding reception dinner, & cocktails during the entire wedding!
JW Marriott Los Cabos wedding packages also offer standard décor like chairs, cocktail tables, & round reception tables, free of charge. Additional décor like flowers/candles are quoted separately by an outside vendor. Unless you are working with an outside wedding planner before deciding to get married at this resort, we recommend using JW’s approved wedding vendor list to choose your photographer, videographer, florist/décor vendor, minister, musician/DJ, etc. These vendors will be familiar with the property & if you want to use a different vendor, the resort will charge an additional fee. Overall, the JW’s wedding ceremony & reception packages are reasonably priced, as are their wedding block room rates for your guests, which makes the JW a great option!
